Pastoral
Council
The mission of a Catholic parish is to be a community of persons united in the Lord to be God's people ministering to one another, as well as to those around them. The task of serving the parish comminty is the work of the entire parish under the leadership of the pastor. Together with his parish staff and the members of the parish pastoral council, commissions, and committees, the pastor works in a spirit of unity to provide ministries and programs that serve the missions of both the parish and the archdiocesan church and universal church.
All the faithful of the parish are called to share in the mission which God entrusted to them. Yet, among the parish faithful is Pastoral Council, which assists the pastor in overall planning for the parish representing the wider parish community.
The role of Sts. Peter and Paul Pastoral Council is to be a visionary body to assist the pastor with long-range planning, to set goals and advance our parish mission. All efforts considered must further nurture the spiritual well being of the parish.
Together with his parish staff, Pastoral Council and members of the parish’s committees and commissions, the pastor works in a spirit of unity to provide the ministries and programs that serve both the mission of the parish and the missions of the archdiocesan church and the universal church.
