Worship Commission

The purpose of the Worship Commission is to serve as a central committee through which the liturgical needs of Sts. Peter & Paul Parish can be addressed. The Worship Commission or Liturgy Committee represents the consensus of the community in matters relating to its liturgical life. The members are involved in "planning" a particular liturgy making choices and working out logistics.
The Commission does not get involved in variables that make up a liturgy as this is left up to the experts like the presider and musician. The Commission is there to evaluate and give the experts feedback, assistance, and support.
The Worship Commission focuses on "the basics" - doing the fundamental actions of welcoming, Word and Eucharist exceedingly well, week after week. The committee is responsible for the study, discussion, and then find the expressions of the church's liturgy that is the right one for their particular community at this time in its history.
