St. Vincent DePaul Society
We have been here at Sts. Peter and Paul for almost 50 years. We provide person-to-person assistance to people in need; most of these are non-Catholic (we are all God’s children).
The Society helps the needy with: Food – Rent – Duke Energy – School supplies – Clothing – Beds – Special needs. We also provide Thanksgiving Baskets, and coordinate the parish Christmas Giving Tree.
Our main headquarters are located on Bank Street downtown. They also assist in many ways:
Home Counseling Legal Services; Pregnancy Counseling Child protection and Elder abuse
Enrichment Programs Homeless Shelter information; Post Adoptive Counseling Prescription Assistance
Home Health Jobs and Family Services; Handicap Counseling
Helping the needy is very rewarding.
As St. Vincent de Paul said, “See Christ in everyone”.
The Society currently has 10 members – we could use more!!!!
