Prayer Shawl Circle

We have an exciting project related to the Network of Care called the Prayer Shawl Circle. Anyone who likes to knit or crochet and use your God given talents to create beautiful prayer shawls can participate.

These shawls are created while praying for the recipient and once we have completed them, a blessing is performed over them before they are given to those in need. Who are those in need: the sick, the lonely, the grieving... this giving work can be performed at home on your own, and we can get together as a group if desired for discussion and/or prayer.

For more information on how to knit or crochet, patterns for prayer shawls and who to contact to be part of this wonderful and loving project, visit the links on this page. Many hands make light work…

Winter 2009 Network of Care will sponsor Crochet 101, a class for beginning crochet on the third and fourth Wednesdays of the month. Registration is limited and a class fee of $10 is requested to cover the expense of the 'take home tools' provided to each student. Once class has concluded, we may choose to continue to meet as a group to crochet and pray together.    Click Here To Register For Crochet 101    Call Sandy at 646-7368 if you do not receive a confirmation of your registration.
