Mission Commission

The Commission was formed in 1973. Our numbers are only representative, this is a parish project.
In 1998 we adopted a Navajo Indian Mission, St. Mary’s in Tohatchi, New Mexico. These people are very poor and in great need. During the years, with much help, we have been able to send good sized donations to them.
Our two fundraisers are the Red Reindeer Sale/Bake Sale and Raffle held the first weekend in December, and our “famous” Bingo, Card Party and Major Awards in the Spring. These are only successful because of hard work, support of the parish, and those who love the Missions.
We have also set up a Memorial Fund for the living and deceased. A donation can be made and your loved one’s name will be included. A Mass is offered once a month at the Mission for those enrolled.
In the Spring, a Mass is celebrated on a Sunday here at Sts. Peter and Paul. This will continue as long as our group is active.
Last, but certainly not least, we have joined the Navajo people in prayer. Each second Sunday of the month we pray for them and they pray for us during Mass.
We would be so blessed and happy to have you join us. We meet the 3rd Thursday of each month at 2:00 pm at Notre Dame Hall. If this is impossible, perhaps you would like to sign up as a Mission Helper.
WE NEED YOU!
Thanks much, and God bless you. Contact: Fay Fischesser - Number:733-3280
