Bereavement Committee

Members of the Bereavement Committee meet with the family of the deceased to assist them in planning the funeral liturgy. 

The bereavement team is available during the service to assist the family, clergy and funeral director. Funeral masses are tape recorded and the tapes are mailed with a letter from the parish. 

The bereavement committee keeps records of the funerals and sends letters to the families at 3, 6, 9, 12 months.  They can also provide information regarding grief support groups when needed.

Bereavement ministers work in teams of two, there are currently 3 teams.  More volunteers are always needed.
